Museum In Motion

The National Corvette Museum is unlike most other museums in the world. Though located in Bowling Green, Kentucky – the Museum is proud to have members from all across the country and even internationally. In an effort to bring the Museum to the enthusiasts, a selection of excursions are offered each year. Branded “Museum in Motion”, the program features tours around the United States as well as Canada, England and France. The Museum in Motion events combine the fun of driving, socializing with other Corvette enthusiasts, sightseeing and visiting unique places – including many V.I.P. and behind the scenes opportunities that only the Museum can get you.

Past tours have taken participants into places not usually accessible to the public including Milford Proving Grounds, Consumer Reports Auto Test Division, GM Heritage Center, and Pratt & Miller.

Week 3: October 11th – October 16th

Week 4: October 18th – October 23rd

2021 will usher in the 12th annual KY 1 Lap tour, part of the Museum in Motion (MiM) program and unique in that it is a partnership between the National Corvette Museum and the Kentucky State Police. The two organizations will join to raise money for both the Museum and Trooper Island, a KSP non-profit camp for underprivileged children. Each year the Tour explores a different section of Kentucky. As always, the tour will be led by TPR. Jonathan Biven – Trooper Island Camp Director in the KSP’s  silver Corvette which always attracts attention as the caravan travels through an area of real Americana.  This year are discovering attractions in and around beautiful Elizabethtown, KY!

15th Rex Allen Museum Car Show @ Historic Railroad Avenue in Willcox Arizona

We invite you to enter or attend our 15th Rex Allen Museum Car Show on Historic Railroad Avenue in Willcox Arizona. Our 2020 winner was Jim & Dawnette Shupack with their beautiful 1962 Corvette. We have several Corvettes enter our show and they’re always a big hit with the spectators! We are open to all vehicles and have grown to 100 entries. Willcox is around 3,200 population and is less than three hours southeast of Phoenix and about an hour east of Tucson. We are high desert with a mild climate, wide open spaces and it’s a great place to get outdoors! Willcox is mainly a ranching and farming community that now grows a larger percentage of wine grapes grown in Arizona, with many wine tasting locations. We are also home to the “Inde Motorsports Ranch”. We appreciate any and all support with our car show and museum. Thank you for taking an interest in what we are doing! If you head to Arizona, we invite you to make time to visit Willcox, the surrounding area and be sure to stop in our little gem of a museum. There’s nothing else like it!
