Celebrate the fun and hobby of Corvetting at the Home of Corvette! Each year the National Corvette Museum offers a number of on-site events. In addition to Museum-hosted functions, we also offer meeting space for rent for outside events, many of which are open to the public. Below is a calendar featuring both NCM hosted events on the Museum grounds, as well as public events held at NCM. For events not hosted by NCM contact information and links are provided.

DOT Hazardous Materials Regulations Free Training Workshop @ National Corvette Museum
Apr 14 – Apr 16 all-day

Join us for a FREE Training Workshop on DOT Hazardous Materials Regulations. This training is 24 hours in length, and is in accordance with 49 CFR § 172.70. The free course includes all training materials.

To ensure strong baseline knowledge of DOT HazMat Regulations, participants are strongly encouraged to complete 8 hours of online coursework prior to the start of the workshop.

This workshop is offered with U.S. DOT PHMSA HMIT grant support to the National Partnership for Environmental Technology Education (National PETE) in collaboration with the National Corvette Museum.

The National Corvette Museum hosts The Gathering along with the ZR-1 Net Registry http://www.zr1netregistry.com/, and the Grand Sport Registry http://www.grandsportregistry.com/. Open to all those interested in the 4th Generation Corvette, these two organizations and the NCM are working to bring participants activities, seminars, road tours, MSP touring laps, and Karting along with information specific to their interest to the C4 Generation, ZR-1, and Grand Sport Corvettes.

**Following the Center for Disease Control’s recommendation that for the next 8 weeks, organizers cancel or postpone in-person events that consist of 50 people or more, the National Corvette Museum has decided to reschedule the Michelin NCM Bash to May 28-30. If you have any questions please contact Bryce or Maci**

 

Kickoff of the NCM onsite event season with the Michelin NCM Bash.  We are also expecting several configurations of the new 2020 Corvette! Our 2020 Bash will also feature the Ribbon Cutting for the Performance Gallery, and the Entombed Corvette exhibit, a discussion about the recently acquired XP 987 GT, and the renderings for the Silver Pearl Sisterhood supported Damsels of Design Rendering!

Returning activities include a seminar and classroom sessions by GM certified Corvette Technician Paul Koerner. Enjoy guided road tours, two celebrity choice car shows, a celebrity autograph session, live auction, book signings, and the Ladies’ Oasis.

Online registration closes at 8:00am central time on THURSDAY, MAY 7TH. All activities are open to Event Registrants only. On-line registrants will receive a hardcard credential, lanyard, event pin and dash plaque. Lifetime registration is $20pp, member registration is $25pp and non-member registration is $35pp.

Motorsports Park Corvette Experience **NEWLY ADDED**
Ever dreamed of driving America’s Sports Car? How about on a race track? Now you can at NCM Motorsports Park! Get behind the wheel of a 2020 Corvette Stingray Z51 for laps around our 3.15 mile road course, built for speed! Our Corvette Experience gives you a combination of classroom instruction and hands-on practice on the track. You must be 18 years or older to participate with a valid driver’s license. Participants must sign a Vehicle Damage Policy and Indemnity Agreement.

Autocross is back at the NCM Michelin Bash! Join us at the NCM MSP for a full day of autocross including loaner helmets, an opportunity to walk the Autocross course before the laps begin, and a driver’s meeting.

  • Course open for walk-through from 8:30am-9:30am
  • MANDATORY Driver’s meeting at 9:45am
  • Laps from 10am-12pm with Lunch from 12pm -1pm with afternoon laps from 1pm-4pm

In the 1820’s, at Linkumpinch Farm near present-day Franklin, Kentucky, matters of honor were settled with the firing of pistols. A man’s reputation was restored when a musket ball found its target. And the area surrounding Sandford Duncan’s Farm soon came to be known as the Dueling Grounds. We will visit Dueling Grounds Distillery where they produce Linkumpinch Bourbon. Tanglewood Farms in located in Franklin, Kentucky and is known for their fresh and local ingredients used in their sandwiches.

We all know the wonder that is over 65 years of Corvette history, in this interactive seminar, we discuss the amazing advancements in all aspects of Corvette progression over the years.  Engines, transmissions, suspension, plastics, exotic materials, leather and race ready fabrics are all part of this seminar that marches all the way back to the humble beginnings in 1953 to the state of the art ‘Global B’ architecture that is Corvette in 2020.  Come join us and as always, question and answer will always be a part of our session.

KSP Trooper Island Camp was developed by the Kentucky State Police as part of a long-range program of public service to the youth of Kentucky: a place where the tensions and turmoil of our everyday lives can be forgotten; and for one-week young people can be given a touch of hope and desire of a better tomorrow.

Every year leading into Labor Day weekend we celebrate the Grand Opening of the Museum, by hosting a participant focused event.  For 2020, we mark the Museum’s 26th Anniversary and focus on the people that Corvette has brought together with a look back on the Museum’s history while looking forward to the future! Those registered can enjoy the Museum with its many displays. Join us at the NCM Motorsports Park with scheduled touring laps around the road course. We will also offer scenic self-guided road tours, special presentations and seminars, raffles, the annual open Membership meeting and more during this event in honor of your help and support!

Friday evening will be our annual Corvette Hall for Fame Induction ceremony and banquet where we will welcome new members into the prestigious and elite group of recipients who have made significant contributions to the Corvette. The 2020 class will be announced soon but the NCM board has already revealed that Wendell Strode will be included in the 2020 Class!

Make sure you are signed onto NCM eNews to be notified about the event.  Those pre-registered for the weekend will receive the event dash plaque and lapel pin, as well as a personalized event badge.

Attention GT and Prototype Race Fans of ALL Marques!!

On September 19-20, 2020 the world’s greatest car manufacturers will battle at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Through special arrangement with the ACO, we will have a special commercial free, ACO commentated, direct feed of the race here at the National Corvette Museum.

Come enjoy the race on our 28-foot giant screen in the Chevrolet Theater, with live timing and scoring, refreshments, private Skypes from the Corvette Racing team, and door prizes. We think this will be the next best thing to being there yourself!

Space will be very limited – Please Register Early!

Security will cover the front grass circle entrance door (parking lot A entrance) from 5:00pm – 8:00am so you are free to come and go at your leisure. RV parking is allowed in the truck parking lot for this event only. Bring in your sleeping bags, blankets, pillows, etc. for an all night stay in the NCM. All activities are open to Event Registrants ONLY.
