Museum In Motion

The National Corvette Museum is unlike most other museums in the world. Though located in Bowling Green, Kentucky – the Museum is proud to have members from all across the country and even internationally. In an effort to bring the Museum to the enthusiasts, a selection of excursions are offered each year. Branded “Museum in Motion”, the program features tours around the United States as well as Canada, England and France. The Museum in Motion events combine the fun of driving, socializing with other Corvette enthusiasts, sightseeing and visiting unique places – including many V.I.P. and behind the scenes opportunities that only the Museum can get you.

Past tours have taken participants into places not usually accessible to the public including Milford Proving Grounds, Consumer Reports Auto Test Division, GM Heritage Center, and Pratt & Miller.

2021 NCM 27th Anniversary Celebration
Thursday September 2nd – Saturday September 4th

In the almost 3 decades since the Museum opened, the scope of the vision has blossomed to include changes such as the dedicated special exhibit hall, dedicated PDI delivery area, restoration area, full-service store, interactive exhibits and a full Motorsports park.

Every year around the Labor Day weekend we celebrate the Grand Opening of the Museum in 1994 with a participant focused event.  This year we mark the 27th Anniversary milestone and focus on the diversity of the people that Corvette has brought together for a look back on the Museum’s history and forward to the future! Registered participants can enjoy 3 days of activities in and around the Museum including access to interesting and unique road tours, special video presentations, raffles, and more during this event in honor of your help and support!

Texas Corvette Association Open Car Show @ Boerne, Texas

The annual Texas Corvette Association (TCA) Open Car Show has attracted car enthusiasts from across the state, the country, and from places as far away as Australia since its inception in 1992.  Since 2000, the TCA has dedicated itself to supporting SJRC Texas as its charity of choice and the recipient of funds raised from the annual car show. SJRC Texas serves the San Antonio, New Braunfels, and Bulverde communities by offering a safe haven to children who have suffered trauma, abuse and neglect.  Participants in the TCA Open Car Show make an important contribution in support of those initiatives, while enjoying a popular Fiesta® San Antonio event.  In recent years, the car show has attracted over 300 entries and hundreds of visitors annually to its Texas Hill Country location at the Main Plaza in Boerne, Texas.  The 2020 show will be held on April 17th, and all proceeds from the show and the silent auction will benefit SJRC Texas.
