Job Title: Development and Sponsorship Manager
Overview: The National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, KY is seeking applicants for a Development and Sponsorship Manager.  The National Corvette Museum is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that welcomes over 230,000 visitors per year, has over 35,000 members across the country and the world, and numerous other programs and departments that help to preserve the past, present and future of the Corvette and celebrate the shared passion and enjoyment of the car.  The Museum also owns the NCM Motorsports Park, a for-profit entity offering high performance driver educational opportunities, and serves as a venue for exciting recreational motorsports activities.
Position Summary: This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced fundraising professional to develop and implement strategic plans to lead new efforts for raising money for the Museum through major gifts, planned giving commitments, and sponsorships.  Position may grow into a larger department if successful.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to obtain major gifts.
  • Continue long term relationship cultivation of individual donors and major prospects.
  • Develop donor packages, make contacts, set up meetings, and present to targeted donors for sponsorship of temporary or long-term exhibits in the Museum, capital projects or possible naming opportunities
  • Meet with major donor prospects and ask for a targeted gift.
  • Develop sponsorship packages, make contacts, set up meetings, and present to potential sponsors for a corporate presence at the Museum or the Motorsports Park
  • Manage sponsorship relationships for both the Museum and the Motorsports Park including tracking and reporting on activities and deliverables
  • Manage and direct a future capital campaign plan
  • Provide visionary and strategic leadership to all fundraising efforts
  • Manage individual donor retention strategy with an emphasis on major gifts
  • Maintain donor profiles and contact management tracking
  • Represent the Museum and Motorsports Park in the community
  • Serve as a member of the management team ensuring the success of the organization through other duties as assigned
Desired Skills and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • 5+ years experience in fundraising and/or sponsorship solicitation and relationship management
  • Previous training in fundraising
  • Experience with capital fundraising campaigns preferred
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to build rapport in person, on the phone and in writing
  • Computer skills – fluency in Microsoft Office, including WORD, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Ability to set and exceed goals and work with minimal supervision
  • Exceptional organizational skills and initiative to stay on task and follow up to produce results
  • Knowledge of best practices for managing major gifts, planned giving and sponsorships
  • Some travel required
Job Title: Corvette Cafe Associate
Department: Corvette Cafe
Status: Part time, rotating schedule – including some weekends. Starting at $10 an hour.
Job Duties: Position will have a range of duties including but not limited to: customer service, sales, cash register, cooking/food preparation, cleaning, etc.
Requirements: Previous food service experience preferred, strong attention to detail, ability to follow strict procedures and codes, strong customer service background, flexibility.

Job Title: Corvette Store Associate
Department: Corvette Store
Status: Part time, rotating schedule (including weekends), typically 20-25 hours per week. Starting at $10.00 an hour.
Job Duties: Position will have a range of duties including but not limited to: customer service, sales, computerized cash register, stock, shipping, cleaning, etc.
Requirements: Previous retail experience preferred, strong attention to detail, ability to multi-task, strong customer service background, flexibility. Physical requirements: standing and lifting.
