8:00am Depart for Gary Artis’ Private Collection

9:45am Arrive Gary Artis Collection

The Gary Artis collection started in 2001 with a purchase of a 1998 Corvette Pace Car. At that time there had been only 4 Corvette Pace Cars and it was Gary’s hope to collect 1 of each. Well, then things really accelerated. In 6 of the next 7 years the Corvette earned the honor of being selected as the Indy 500 Pace Car, which as Gary says “moved the goal posts” quite a bit. Gary did acquire the original 4 Corvette Pace cars he desired and then added 5 out of the 6 next ones. Luckily business was good in late 2000’s and Gary branched off to also collect other Indy Pace Car editions such as Camaros, Trans Ams, Oldsmobile 442’s, a Challenger, a Viper and even a 1984 Fiero. Currently Gary owns 20 Indy 500 Pace Car replicas among his 36 cars.

** Special thanks to Gary Artis for opening up his collection to us **
