The Museum features over 80 Corvettes in periodic settings, including mint classics, one-of-a-kind prototypes and modern-day wonders of engineering and design. Test your knowledge at interactive trivia kiosks, and don’t miss the chance to try a Corvette on for size in our lobby where we have a 2015 Stingray waiting for you. Displays continually rotate so no two visits are the same. Round out your visit with a souvenir from the Corvette Store, grab a bite to eat in the Corvette Cafe, and race over to the NCM Motorsports Park to spectate or take a lap!

2016 MiM KY 1 Lap (3) –

 October 24 – 29, 2016

2016 will usher in the 7th annual KY 1 Lap tour, part of the Museum in Motion (MiM) program and unique in that it is a partnership between the National Corvette Museum and the Kentucky State Police. The two organizations join together to raise money for both the Museum and Trooper Island, a KSP non-profit camp for underprivileged children. Each year the Tour explores a different section of Kentucky. As always, the tour will be led by TFC Jonathan Biven – Trooper Island Camp Director, now using a marked red Corvette which is sure to attract attention as the caravan travels through an area of real Americana. Due to overwhelming interest, we are offering this tour 3 consecutive weeks in October.

In 1981, General Motors moved production of the Chevrolet Corvette from St. Louis, MO to 600 Corvette Drive, Bowling Green, KY. Known as “America’s Sports Car,” visitors can watch an icon in the making. The Corvette is the world’s longest-running, continuously produced passenger car with more than 1.6 million produced. The GM site consists of 212 acres, and the plant has one million square feet –equivalent to 22 acres or 17 football fields, under roof.

 In 2008 we began a tradition of honoring our veterans, with a new event, Vets ‘n Vettes.  The event now includes American Warrior Recognition, a way of providing our returning warriors with a special Corvette Experience.  Thursday kicks off with Fort Campbell sending down members of their Warrior Transition Battalion to enjoy a day at the Corvette Museum, rides in participants’ Corvettes at the NCM Motorsports Park as well as tours of the Museum and Plant, and a complimentary lunch presented by Don Franklin Chevrolet, Buick, GMC of Somerset, KY. With a Meet n’ Greet, road tours, seminars and participation in the Bowling Green Veterans’ Day Parade with lunch afterwards at the local VFW, the event offers veterans, servicemen and women and those who want to support them, a comfortable place to meet and share stories and experiences.

Museum in Motion Tours bring Corvette Enthusiasts together to enjoy driving their corvettes and visit new, unique, interesting, and exciting ventures. the Museum event season kicks off with a tour starting in Daytona Beach and ending with the IMSA Weathertech Race – Daytona Rolex 24. The first race of the 2017 IMSA Weathertech season is a must for race fans!

Attend the race the entire 4 days Thursday – Sunday or choose an optional attraction day (Thursday) at St. Augustine before settling in for 3 days of immersion in Corvette Racing at Daytona as part of the Corvette Corral.

2017 NCM Bash

April 27-29, 2017

The Bash marks the beginning of the NCM on-site event season and is one of our largest annual events.

Activities include scenic road tours including visits to old favorites and new attractions, special seminars by Corvette Powertrain and sculpting by Corvette Design, 2 Car Shows, autograph sessions, access to Customer Assistance Center, talk to the CorvetteMechanic, participate in a raffle drawing, and win memorabilia at a live benefit auction.  Also back by popular demand are the Women’s Garage Party presented by women engineers from GM, This event will see the return of members of the Corvette Race Team, the always popular Ladies’ Oasis, and the event banquet returns to the Sloan Convention Center.  You also have the opportunity to participate in NCM golf with members of the Corvette design team and Corvette Racing.

Join us at our new Motorsports Park for touring laps. Feel free to go over and watch as Corvettes they take to the track to learn what their cars can do

Make sure you are signed onto NCM eNews to get the latest on event registration and updates. On-line registration includes the event dash plaque, lapel pin and a personalized badge & lanyard.  Many of the event activities sell out quickly so it’s important to register early.

MiM Dragon Run @ Biltmore Estate **REGISTRATION OPEN**

Spring in the Smokies, Tail of the Dragon and Biltmore all combined in one great MiM tour. Once again we hit the road, leaving Bowling Green and heading East to run the famous TN-129, aka Tail of the Dragon. This year again, we will be staying at the beautiful Biltmore Inn on the Biltmore Estate grounds. The Monday Biltmore visit includes a specially arranged early morning photo op of the cars in front of the manor house followed by breakfast in the Biltmore Stable Café adjacent to the house. Included in our Biltmore plans are your choice of 1 specialty tour: The Legacy of the Land Tour, Rooftop Tour, Wine & Chocolate or the Upstairs/Downstairs Tour. Lunch will be at the Deer Park Restaurant on the grounds. After hours – enjoy a special private guided tour of the Mansion. New friends will be made while enjoying one of the most beautiful areas of the country during the colorful spring season. GPS as well as two-way radios highly recommended!

Adjacent to Biltmore House, the stable, which originally housed George Vanderbilt’s horses and carriages, has been renovated into a beautiful restaurant. This special venue offers seating in former stalls and the hayloft area where we will be seated.

  • Legacy of the Land Tour– take a motor coach tour of the estate and learn about the history of the land, structures, and former residents. You’ll visit areas not open to guests.
  • Rooftop Tour – Enjoy amazing views from rooftops and balconies and get a closer look at the design and construction of Biltmore House with this 60-minute guided tour of areas not on the regular house visit.

·         Upstairs/Downstairs Tour – reveals the glamorous life of attending a Vanderbilt house party and the fascinating work that went on behind the scenes at Biltmore.  Guests will descend the backstairs to learn event more about servant life, see Biltmore’s sub-basement, and discover the technology that made America’s largest home a modern marvel

·         Wine & Chocolate – Discover why chocolate and red wine are a match made in heaven.   (THIS TOUR IS AT 2PM)

12:30pm – 1:30pm Deerpark Restaurant Buffet Lunch– Biltmore Grounds
Deerpark Restaurant is housed in a historic barn original to the estate. Enjoy prepared–to–order specialties in addition to classic favorites. The delightful courtyard restaurant specializes in Southern family–style dishes. Enjoy our Taste of the South lunch and brunch buffets highlighting regional Southern flavors drawn from the Carolina Coast, Low Country, Southern Appalachians, and Louisiana.

2:00pm – 4:30pm Antler Hill Village or Biltmore Gardens – Self Guided – Biltmore Grounds
A stop at the Winery is a must for anyone who enjoys good food and wine – complimentary wine tastings will be offered in the Tasting Room throughout the day and visit the Barn, Farmland, and Kitchen Garden to learn more about Biltmore’s agricultural heritage. Before leaving the Village, be sure to pop in the Legacy Exhibit Hall to see the exhibit on display at the time or relax on the Village Green. 
4:45pm – 6:15pm NCM Private Guided Evening Visit – Biltmore House
A visit to America’s largest home is a most memorable experience. Cross the threshold into a world of hospitality, beauty, and luxury that has remained virtually unchanged for more than a century. Hear the Biltmore story as you walk through the house with a knowledgeable guide.

Corvette Plant Tour

The Corvette Plant is located just across the street. Tours are offered every 15 minutes Monday through Friday starting at 8:30am Central Time. The last tour departs at 1:45pm. Tours are $10 per adult and $5 per student age 10-16, or purchase a combo ticket for the plant and museum for $16.
