Bowling Green a “Cool Spot for Summer Meetings”

Picnic Themed Event at the Corvette MuseumIf you are looking for the perfect spot to host your summer event or meeting, Bowling Green, KY was just ranked no. 4 on the ConventionSouth Top 12 List of “The South’s Cool Spots for Summer Meetings.”

ConventionSouth, a leading meeting planning resource for over 30 years with a readership of more than 18,000 meeting professionals across the country, compiled a Facebook ballot with a list of 60 meetings destinations that are well-fit for summer meetings. From those 60 “cool spots,” fans were asked to vote for top picks.

Topping the list included:

  10. Hilton Head Island, South Carolina
  11. Alexandria / Pineville, Louisiana
  12. Hot Springs, Arkansas

“The 2016 list of the ‘South’s Cool Spots for Summer Meetings’ provides these planners with interesting insight on some of the South’s milder temperature destinations,” ConventionSouth Editor Marcia Bradford said. “By offering a place to stay cooler during the hot summer months, meeting planners can boost attendance and create a more comfortable experience for participants and therefore, increase the success of the gathering.”

If you are thinking about having a meeting or event, consider Bowling Green and the National Corvette Museum or NCM Motorsports Park for your function. The Museum’s Conference Center hosts 500 banquet style and 675 theater style. The Corvette Club Room is great for a smaller, more intimate meeting holding up to 46 classroom style and 88 theater style. For a unique after-hours venue, the Skydome, Corvette Boulevard and Nostalgia areas offer beautiful backdrops that will leave your guests talking. At the track, the Holley Control Tower and Event Center features a meeting room with capacity of 150, and a classroom with space for 50. The tower’s second floor plaza is perfect for an open-air, outdoor function. Also available are day garages and an open-air pavilion with picnic tables.
