This Friday, July 1st is the annual Citizen’s First Thunderfest presented by Kiwanis of Bowling Green fireworks show at the National Corvette Museum amphitheater. This is the 45th year for the event. Rain date is July 2.

Corvette Drive will be blocked off in both directions beginning at 4pm CT Friday and the gates for the event open at 4pm. Activities begin at 5pm.

Admission to the festivities is $20 per carload. Every dollar raised goes back into the Bowling Green and Warren County community, supporting more than 30 children’s charities with over $60,000 raised in 2015.

Activities include games and inflatables ($10 per child for a wristband), music by Tyrone Dunn and Kin-foke, a hot dog eating contest, “Red, White and Tunes” contest, food concessions, and the big fireworks show set to music. SAM 100.7 will be broadcasting live from 4-6pm.

No coolers, alcoholic beverages or pets permitted.
