2018 will usher in the 9th annual KY 1 Lap tour, part of the Museum in Motion (MiM) program and unique in that it is a partnership between the National Corvette Museum and the Kentucky State Police. The two organizations will join to raise money for both the Museum and Trooper Island, a KSP non-profit camp for underprivileged children. Each year the Tour explores a different section of Kentucky. As always, the tour will be led by TPR. Jonathan Biven – Trooper Island Camp Director now using a newly painted marked silver Corvette which is sure to attract attention as the caravan travels through an area of real Americana.  This year are discovering some of our main attractions that have made KY famous. Bourbon, Horses, and new to KY is the Ark Encounter – a life size Noah’s Ark.

Due to overwhelming interest, we are offering this tour 4 consecutive weeks in October.

  • Tour 1 – Oct. 8 through Oct. 13
  • Tour 2 – Oct. 15 through Oct. 20
  • Tour 3 – Oct. 22 through Oct. 27
  • Tour 4 – Oct. 29 through Nov. 2

** All tours the same except for Tour 4

** Tour 4 will be going to Buffalo Trace Distillery and the KY Horse Park instead of Taylormade Farms and Keeneland

Taylor Made is an 1,100 acre Thoroughbred paradise located in Nicholasville, Kentucky. Upon arrival, you will be treated like a part of the Taylor Family and get to see firsthand what it takes to make a Champion! As your experience begins, you and your farm host will visit a mare & foal division where you will see the foaling quarters, paddocks, and of course the future stars! You’ll then make you way to a yearling division where you’ll learn about the transition from weanlings to yearlings. Finally, you’ll visit the Stallion Complex. Please note: Tours at Taylor Made last about 1-1.5 hours and are a combination of walking and driving. The tour is suitable for all ages. Photos and videos are encouraged. Take a guided tour through the factory where Louisville Slugger bats are crafted with the same pride that started in 1884. In 2008 we began a tradition of honoring our veterans with a new event, Vets ‘n Vettes. Thursday kicks off with a full day at the NCM Motorsports Park. Invites will be going out to all our local Veterans in hopes they come to the MSP and catch a ride in a Corvette with another fellow Veteran. Complimentary lunch served to all! With a Meet n’ Greet, road tours, and participation in the Bowling Green Veterans’ Day Parade with lunch afterwards at the local VFW, the event offers veterans, servicemen and women and those who want to support them, a comfortable place to meet and share stories and experiences.

General registration for Vets ‘n Vettes is only $20

Online registration closes at 8:00am central time on Tuesday, October 23. There are no refunds for activities after online registration closes. All activities are open to Event Registrants only. On-line registrants will receive a hard card credential, lanyard, and event pin.

November 9th – 10th , 2018: “NCM Presents the Second Annual Corvette Racing Weekend”

Attention all Corvette fans: Mark your calendars for November 9-10, 2018.  The National Corvette Museum is excited to announce we will be welcoming Corvette Racing Program Manager Doug Fehan, for a 2-day celebration dedicated to Corvette Racing. Under Doug’s leadership, Corvette Racing has earned over 100 race victories, 10 team championships, 9 driver championships and 8 victories at the 24 Hours of Le Mans since 1999.

 Friday 11/09 Events

The Corvette Racing Weekend kicks-off on Friday, November 9, 2018 at 6:15pm with a reception (cash bar) with Doug and Tommy. The duo will host a 2018 Corvette Racing Seminar during a buffet dinner (cash bar) which will start at 7:15pm. Joining Doug and Tommy will be Tadge Juechter, Chief Engineer/Vehicle Line Director – Corvette. The evening will close with an autograph session. Friday tickets are $75 for General Admission and include Saturday admission. Also included is admission to the AACA Museum.

Please note that tickets for Friday’s dinner event must be purchased in advance, and no tickets will be sold at the door. Ticket sales for the dinner end on Thursday, November 1, 2018

Friday’s tickets are limited to 150.

Poker Run

We’ve added something new for the weekend – a Poker Run that will include a tour of the Yuengling Brewery and Jerry’s Classic Cars Museum in Pottsville, PA. Lunch and a Yuengling goodie bag is included in the event fee of $25 per person. The Poker Run will start at the AACA Museum parking lot on Friday at 8am and will finish in plenty of time to relax before the Corvette Racing Dinner.

Closed toe shoes are required for the Yuengling tour

Tickets are limited to 60. YOU MUST BE REGISTERED FOR THE FULL 2-DAY EVENT TO PARTICIPATE IN THE POKER RUN.

Kickoff of the NCM on site event season – Bash traditionally marks the rollout of the next model year Corvette; the place where you can see them up close and in detail.  Bash 2019 will provide enthusiasts the chance to see the new 2020 Corvette Stingray and ZR1 up close as well as the getting all the latest information about the all new 7th Generation Corvette.  Seminars will feature speakers discussing ‘What’s new in the 2020 model year’, the award-winning body structure, as well as using your 7th generation navigation system.  As in past years there will be a large contingent of GM engineers and designers from Warren Tech Center, and the Bowling Green Assembly Plant ready to answer your every question.  giving a seminar. Also, back to Bash is our LT5 engine building demonstration by BGAP Bryan Lee & team.

Returning activities include a seminar and classroom sessions by GM certified Corvette Technicians Paul Koerner. Enjoy guided road tours, two celebrity choice car shows, the Ladies’ Oasis, and the expanded Garage Party with women of the GM Corvette Team.  Spring in the Smokies, Tail of the Dragon and Biltmore all combined in one great MiM tour. Once again, we hit the road, leaving Bowling Green and heading East to run the famous TN-129, aka Tail of the Dragon. This year again, we will be staying at the beautiful Biltmore Inn on the Biltmore Estate grounds. The Monday Biltmore visit includes a specially arranged early morning photo op of the cars in front of the manor house followed by breakfast in the Biltmore Stable Café adjacent to the house. Included in our Biltmore plans are your choice of 1 specialty tour: The Legacy of the Land Tour, Rooftop Tour, Wine & Chocolate, Upstairs/Downstairs Tour or the Horse & Carriage Ride. 2019 NCM Le Mans Tour

Join us on our 4th adventure to France for the 24 Hours of Le Mans race.  Here is the chance to see Corvette Racing against the world’s best GT cars in the most famous race of all. Just a few highlights of the tour include stops in London, Paris and of course Le Circuit de la Sarthe (Le Mans Track). We will have professional guides with us the entire trip to assist with our travels. After four nights in London and 3 nights in Paris, we will travel to Angers where we will stay throughout the Le Mans race.

The next three days will have us visiting the Le Circuit de la Sarthe (Le Mans track) as well as the town. Monday, we depart Angers and travel back to Paris for one last free day. Check out of our hotel and continue with your plans of either more travel or to the airport.  Hotels, ground transportation, tour tickets, all breakfasts, some meals, Le Mans admission and grandstand race tickets and Corral tickets are included.  We have a very limited number of openings so make your plans early to join us in making memories, new friends, and seeing beautiful London & France.

Evening – ‘Flight on the London Eye’

The London Eye is a giant Ferris wheel on the South Bank of the River Thames in London. It is Europe’s tallest Ferris wheel,[10] is the most popular paid tourist attraction in the United Kingdom. The London Eye is situated right at the tourist heart of London, (opposite Big Ben by the River Thames) with commanding views, (25 miles on a good day). The attraction was originally sponsored by British Airways, so rides are called flights. The Eye is besides the River Thames on the opposite bank to Big Ben.

  • The wheel rotates at 26 cm (10 in) per second (about 0.9 kph or 0.6 mph) so that one revolution takes about 30 minutes.

Please allow up to 10 business days for your event to appear online. Each month all events added to our calendar that are occurring the next month will be listed in our email newsletter.

If you have submitted your event in years’ past and the description/information is the same, you can simply submit name of event, new dates and location and we will update the dates leaving everything else the same.
