Mark your calendars…..the National Corvette Museum presents a first-ever gathering of last of the Sharks! June 28th through July 1st has been set aside to honor the end of an era in Corvette history, when the last of the world-renowned Sharks rolled off the assembly line in Bowling Green. Of note are the highly prized Corvette Collector Edition Hatchbacks (RPO 1YY07). Also in attendance will be the 1980, 1981 and 1982 Corvettes.

Also this year, we celebrate 20 years of Corvette building in Bowling Green, Kentucky. The Corvette Assembly Plant moved its operations from St. Louis, Missouri to Bowling Green in 1981. Production began on June 2, 1981 with the enamel base coat and clear coat Corvettes, plus the two-tone paint schemes. A display at the National Corvette Museum honoring the men and woman of the Bowling Green Plant will be presented all summer long.

We will start the festivities with an early bird event on Thursday, June 28th - an evening at Bowling Green's RaceWorld go-cart tracks. Special discounted rates will be available for those brave souls that wish to take on the challenge of go-cart racing!

Friday's agenda includes a VIP tour of the Corvette Assembly Plant and National Corvette Museum. Convene at the Corvette Assembly Plant for a unique VIP tour. A possible treat awaits those that return to the NCM later that afternoon. It will surely be a pleasant surprise!
Friday evening, there will be a BBQ at Wendell and Jan Strode's Historic 1869 Homestead.

Saturday will feature informative seminars from Corvette celebrities that were involved firsthand in the production of these wonderful Corvettes. Take your time and visit the NCM as you've never done before, taking in the sights and sounds of Corvette's home! A Celebrity Choice Car Show will be presented on the Museum's grounds, and later, a Poker Run through parts of Warren, Barren and Allen counties. Don't forget to get to the Museum early as we will have a group photo session on the Museum's Front Circle.

Saturday evening will be the high watermark of the event as we dine in the Museum's Skydome with catering by one of the region's finest restaurant. Libations will be available beginning at 5:30 p.m. Guest speakers, car show award presentations and a benefit auction of Corvette memorabilia will enhance this unique dining experience.

And if all of that is not enough, Sunday morning we will be treated to another once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for individual owner/car photo sessions at the Assembly Plant. To cap the weekend off, we will do a final scenic road tour!
