2014 MiM 1 Lap of KY
 October 2014*

In its 5th year, the annual “1-Lap of Kentucky” tours have become so popular that it sells out quickly.  As a part of the Museum in Motion program the 1-Lap is a unique partnership between the National Corvette Museum and the Kentucky State Police.  The two organizations join together to raise money for both the Museum and Trooper Island, a KSP non-profit camp for underprivileged children.  Each year the Tour explores a different section of Kentucky.  The previous Tours visited western KY including the Land Between the Lakes and Owensboro, traveled the Bourbon Trail and Horse Country, explored the sites and traditions of eastern Kentucky including mining camps, Trooper Island and the Artisan Center of Berea KY. Most recently KSP Training Academy, Louisville Mega Caverns and Claudia Sanders Dinner House were just some of the stops in 2013. Planning is underway for 2014 but we can promise unique and interesting experiences along the way.

As always the tour will be led by a Kentucky State Policeman, now using a marked red Corvette which is sure to attract attention as the caravan travels through an area of real Americana.

In 2013 we had to add a third tour group as the demand for this tour grew.  We are planning to run this tour twice in October 2014 but have not set the dates at this time.  Tours are limited to 25 cars so make sure you sign on to NCM eNews to get the latest information on all events including opening of registration and fees.   Questions, contact Karen or Bryce.
