2011 American Warrior Recognition

As a kickoff to the Memorial Day weekend and the start of the Forum Cruise In, The American Warrior Recognition start the Thursday activities..  The Memorial Day weekend is a significantly appropriate time to thank our military members and recognize their service to the United States and the world.  Volunteers will be asked to caravan from the NCM to either Ft Campbell or Ft Knox, pick up a Wounded Warrior and transport them back to the NCM for a day of tours of the Museum and the Assembly Plant along with a luncheon before returning the warriors to their respective bases.  Drivers and their guests along with the warriors with their guests will enjoy a complementary lunch as part of the day’s activities. 

This registration access is for those who are only volunteering to participate on Thursday as Drivers.

NCM Early Open: Caravan Drivers Check in and meeting

7:30am – 10:30am

Caravans depart for Ft Campbell and Ft Knox and return

10:30am – 12:30pm

Warrior Tours of NCM and BGAP

  • Returning Ft Campbell Caravan goes to BGAP for tours
  • Returning Ft Knox Caravan goes to NCM for tours
  • All return to NCM for lunch in Conference Center

12:30pm – 1:30pm

Warrior Lunch

  • Located in Conference Center
  • Open to Forum registrants
    • Warriors and drivers (& their guests) no charge
    • General Event registrants $20

1:30pm – 3:30pm

Warrior Tours Continue

  • Ft Knox warriors tour BGAP
  • Ft Campbell warriors tour NCM

3:30pm – 4:30pm

Warriors Convene at Museum

  • Free time for open touring in Museum
  • Light refreshments served in Conference Center

4:30pm – 6:00pm

Caravans Return to Ft Campbell and Ft Knox

  • Drivers return their riders to their respective origination points

5:00 pm

NCM Closes
