Putnam Park PrimeDrive
Putnam Park PrimeDrive
Are you just a little curious about driving on a track; do you want to know how to handle 350, 405, 505 or more horsepower but are not sure if a full 2 day school was for you, then welcome to the National Corvette Museum's newest addition to our Performance Driving Program. We are pleased to announce a new driving event called PrimeDrive, which will provide you with a sample of what our more comprehensive multi-day programs are like.
This new program is will be available for the second time in 2008 at our High Performance Driving Event at Putnam Park on October 4th or 5th, 2008. On Oct. 4th we will have a PrimeDrive for Ladies Only. This will be a small class (10 students) focused on women who want to try out the HPDE program. This mini-school will feature women instructors and advanced students to provide a unique perspective on performance driving and handling. On the 5th we will conduct our general PrimeDrive open to a maximum of 20 registrants. The cost for PrimeDrive each day is $75 and students will receive a PrimeDrive shirt, classroom instruction, a lap session on the track with an instructor and a ride-along during an instructor run session. This mini-school will allow participants to sample a driving program with minimal commitment and decide if they want to move further and attend a full school. As with our full schools, students must be 18 or older with a valid driver's license, drive a coupe, Z06 or FRC Corvette and meet the event car tech and helmet standards. Two PrimeDrive students cannot share the same car on the same day.
Download the event package , follow the directions for tech preparation and bring the completed forms (and blank event day tech form) with you. Note that the rules and tech are the same for PrimeDrive as our full 2-day HPDE but PrimeDrive will be on Saturday, October 4th only.
