Corvette 60th Anniversary
June 27-28, 2013

The end of June always marks a special time in Corvette history, June 30, 1953 marked the day that the first 300 Corvettes rolled off their Flint Michigan assembly line.  Few ever envisaged that the car would evolve as it did becoming America’s iconic sports car.

The National Corvette Museum, working with the Chevrolet Corvette Team, celebrates the occasion with a special 2-day event.  Thursday will kick off the event with an Evolution Display showcasing the first 60 years of Corvettes.

Looking to Corvette’s future will be the first display of “C7” Corvettes that will be available for enthusiasts to get up close to, sit inside, “kick the tires” and learn about the new Stingray firsthand.  GM will provide a number of the new "C7" Corvettes along with members of the Corvette Team from Warren Tech Center and the Bowling Green Assembly Plant to answer your questions and do a detailed walk-around of the new cars.

Friday, along with further opportunities to sit in and see the new generation Corvette,  will see the groundbreaking for the National Corvette Museum’s Motorsports Park.  After 10 months of intensive work with a track designer and engineers, the Museum is proud to announce that we are ready for a tangible start to MSP construction.  The target date for at least part of the facility to open is the 20th Anniversary Celebration at Labor Day weekend, 2014.

The two-day 60th Anniversary event is open to all, no charge to members and only Museum admission for non-members.

Through a special arrangement with the BG Assembly Plant, a group of 200 pre-registered participants will be taking the first tours through the newly restructured plant.  Currently this tour is sold out.

The plant tour and banquet have SOLD OUT! Waitlist has been filled as well.
Sorry we could not accommodate all.

There is no registration required to attend the 60th Anniversary event.
