Kentucky DerbyWhen you think of Kentucky – you probably think of the Kentucky Derby, Kentucky Fried Chicken, and bourbon. But did you know that the iconic American Sports Car, the Corvette, has only been made in Kentucky since 1981? For some of our Corvette enthusiasts, their beloved car is what they think of when they think of Kentucky.

Writer Jenn Shockley posted “The Ultimate and Definitive Bucket List For Everyone In Kentucky” on onlyinyourstate.com, listing their 20 picks to represent the Bluegrass State.

While many of the picks were food and drink related (sip a mint julep, try Kentucky bourbon, eat some Derby pie, try out Thoroughbred pie, and indulge in some Kentucky Hot Brown), others were event-related, like attending the Kentucky Derby (the most exciting two minutes in sports), watch Thunder Over Louisville, and watch a basketball game (we have some crazy cat and bird fans!).

Making the list at number 16 was yours truly, the National Corvette Museum. Jenn writes, “If you happen to be passing near Bowling Green, stop by 350 Corvette Drive and check out the museum. Every Corvette being driven is made in Bowling Green, and most Corvettes ever made are housed in the museum. If you are a car fan, this is a must stop and see. If not, its still kind of cool.” We glad you think so, Jenn! Read her full article here.
